Venice Beach-based band Little Galaxies are transporting listeners to another universe with their fresh brand of ‘cosmic rock’. The band experiments with inter-dimensional textures in their song “Out in Control,” the first single off their upcoming sophomore LP, recorded and co-produced by Sejo Navajas at the historic 4th Street Recording Studio in Santa Monica (The Beach Boys, No Doubt, Incubus). Their music has caught the attention of several notable music blogs, including Buzzbands LA, Earmilk, OC Weekly, The Bay Bridged, and The Deli Magazine, who awarded them "Emerging Los Angeles Artist of the Year" with a feature in their SXSW print edition. Following the release of their debut album Patterns, Little Galaxies played shows and festivals all over Southern California, toured up the West Coast and to Austin, Texas before going on an extended hiatus in 2015 due to Fournier incurring injuries from a car accident. The band made a triumphant comeback earlier this year with shows at LA’s Townhouse Venice and The Satellite. Little Galaxies’ sound and live show have evolved to a higher dimension and they’re ready for liftoff as they gear up to release “Out in Control” on October 5th.
"LA-based Good Witch breaks hearts and lights fires with their dreamy mood-pop. Conjuring up shades of Lykke Li, Alvvays, and Garbage, they bridge the gap between rock and pop with sophisticated ease and confident swagger. Slinky bass, anthemic drums, distorted guitars, shimmery synthesizers, and cinematic strings come together in singable indie rock songs with a lush edge that are at once disarmingly vulnerable, unapologetically sexy, and fearlessly honest. PopMatters called their latest single, Shake You Loose, "one hell of a performance." The new EP, Double Life, comes out November 2nd."
